If you live far from the studio, or just want a deep dive in to mosaics this is the class for you! Ten hours of mosaics and lots of learning, laughs, and creativity!
Beginners first learn the basics of mosaics by creating a coaster or light switch cover. You will learn how to cut the glass, trim, and glue.
Then plate smashing. Yes, break plates with a hammer which is as much fun as it sounds! Learn to position the shards and pick grout colors to enhance your design on a picture frame or tile. There is flexibility so if you have a different idea of what you want to make for a second project discuss it with Cheryl and she will let you know if it can be finished or adapted so that it will be completed within the weekend.
Also includes pizza lunch on Saturday (you are welcome to bring something else if you have dietary restriction).
On the second day you learn about grout colors, and how to grout your pieces.
If you are a returning student who has made a coaster/light switch cover before, you can make the frame/mirror and then move onto another project. Or if you have another idea, we can discuss it and make it work. | Location:
