Make your own mosaic bases to create truly original pieces of art! We will make two 'folded/curved' substrate surfaces, and one sand mold (my dress is a sand mold, but you could make a simple one like a bowl, or many other options that we will talk about). The three bases we create will then need to dry slowly for 3-4 days. In a regular weekly class you will need to cover the mold with two more layers of Thinset (cement) and mesh, and have it dry before applying tile. So this is a three step process that needs to be done on three different days:
1) making the molds
2) strengthening the molds by covering them with two more layers
3) applying the tile (and possibly grouting if you want). This process is really limitless, and I can't wait to share it with you!
